National Jewellery Award


NJA is one of country’s most prestigious award that honors the work of designers and manufacturers in various categories such as Best Jewellery Designs, Best Diamond & Precious Metal Jewellery, and even an award for the Best Retail Ambience. The jewellery aims to driving excellence across the various aspects of the industry segment and reward the passion and innovation, setting new benchmarks within the industry each year.
NJA was set in motion to motivate and promote the creativity of the Indian jewellery designers and manufacturers with the view to place the spotlight on India’s design talent pool.
GJC accords recognition and award through the National Jewellery Awards (NJA) platform annually to stimulate talent, honor innovation and creativity of the jewelers & designers to boost the industry.

Edition 2019:
International School of Design, Kolkata is privileged that Mrs Seema Bubna (Application No 287) has won the Student-of-the-Year Category for the 2019 edition winning scholarship worth Rs 1,00,000/- for Advanced Training. It was a night to remember as the stars of the gem & jewellery sector walked away with their trophies even as Bollywood stars cheered them on for their achievements! 35 awards in 8 categories were given away at the 9th edition of the annual National Jewellery Awards (NJA Awards 2019), an initiative by the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), the apex body for domestic jewellery sector, were held at Hotel Renaissance Powai on 15-02-2020. Actor Sharad Kelkar hosted NJA 2019 and actress Esha Gupta gave away several awards to add glamour & glitz to the Awards.

Edition 2018:
International School of Design, Kolkata is privileged that Mrs Soniya Soni (Application No 429) has won the Student-of-the-Year Category for the 2018 edition winning scholarship worth Rs 1,00,000/- for Advanced Training. The grand finale of the 8 th edition of the country’s biggest and most eagerly awaited gems and jewellery awards was bigger and grander than ever before! All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), presented 36 National Jewellery Awards (NJA) 2018 across 5 different categories in the presence of Mr. Anantha Padmanaban (Chairman and Convener, GJC), Mr. Shaankar Sen (Vice Chairman, GJC), Mr. Ashish Pethe (Co-Convener-NJA 2018, GJC), Celebrity Chief Guest Ms. Malaika Arora, actresses Ms. Rashmi Desai & Ms. Madhura Naik.
